Ganga Prem Hospice, Rishikesh The highest turnout of patients ever at a Ganga Prem Hospice clinic. Patients with terminal stage, preliminary stage, and suspicion of cancer came for consultations. Four doctors were at work to offer consultations. Diagnostic test facilities at two centres and medicines were also offered, free of charge.

Ganga Prem Hospice Medical Director, Dr AK Dewan, saw 63 patients at the December cancer clinic in Rishikesh. The clinic ran for more than two hours beyond the scheduled time as Dr Dewan gave full attention and care to the many seriously ill patients who attended the clinic. He even saw 2 patients in the Hospice ambulance as they were not well enough to come into the consulting room. There were a number of new volunteers and also help in kind such as warm clothing for the poorer patients.
