Community on Yoga, Meditation, Ayurveda and Spirituality
November 1st was a special day at Yoga Vidya Bad Meinberg. Our Open House coincided with World Vegan Day. We were able to inform guests about Yoga Vidya, the largest Yoga Retreat Centre in Euorope, and about vegan lifestyle as well.
Many people visited Haus Yoga Vidya on this beautiful, sunny Autumn day. They tried the yoga classes and got information about meditation, ayurveda and yoga therapy. There were sound journeys, a mantra workshop and a concert with Ananda / The Love Keys. The highlight was the evening satsang with meditation, kirtan chanting and arati.
Children were offered a colourful programme that included yoga for kids, a sound journey, puppet theater and face painting. In all, it was a great day for the little ones as well.
As a part of the vegan lottery, guests had the chance to win different vegan products like chocolate, almond milk and tasty spreads. Proceeds were donated to Hof Butenland a place where rescued animals can live in peace until the end of their lives - and to a new playground of Yoga Vidya where children can play joyfully. We also used the day to collect signatures against factory farming; it was great to see how many people wanted to sign on behalf of the animals who desperately need our help.
It’s wonderful to see how more and more people find their way to Yoga and using it as a way to inner peace, harmony and balance.
