Tonight, yogis at all four Yoga Vidya Ashrams will begin the celebration of ‘Navaratri’, the nine-night festival dedicated to the worship of the Divine Mother.
- On the first three evenings: Devi will be worshipped in the form of Durga. It is a particularly powerful time to repeat the mantra "Om Shri Durgayai Namaha“, as well as the 108 names of Durga.
- On the second three evenings: Devi will be worshipped as Lakshmi. You can tune to the energy of these nights by repeating the mantra "Om Shri Mahalakshmyai namaha“ as well as the 108 names of Lakshmi.
- On the last three evenings: Devi will be worshipped in the form of Saraswati. It is a particularly powerful time to repeat the mantra "Om Aim Saraswatyai Namah“ as well as the 108 names of Saraswati.
- The day after Navaratri is known as 'Vijaya Dashami’ - this tenth day of victory is celebrated with a puja in the morning. Objects of daily life are worshipped as they enable us to receive the blesssings of the Divine Mother.
May the blessing of the Divine Mother be upon you!
