Gauri and Johannes chant at first the Maha Mantra and afterwords the Gayatri mantra. This recording stems from a Saturday evening Satsang at Yoga Vidya in Bad Meinberg, Germany. Check out our information about Yoga Vidya Teachers Training Course, seminars and workshops. Maha Mantra means grand or great mantra. It strengthened joy and love. The Maha Mantra invokes God in its aspects as Hari (Vishnu), Rama and Krishna.
Here are the lyrics for the Maha Mantra:
Hare Rāma Hare Rāma
Rāma Rāma Hare Hare
Hare Kṛṣṇa Hare Kṛṣṇa
Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare
The Gayatri mantra is in our kirtanbook number 610. It sings of the venerable divine radiant light. Here are the lyrics:
Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha
Tat Savitur Varenyam
Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi
Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat
