I ...

... am a Yoga Beginner

I am an expert in the following areas:

I am disabled

My Yoga tradition/style/center, Yoga practice, Yoga Master/s, Teacher/s

My Yogi Master and Teacher is also a licensed psychologist. She comes to my home weekly. In preparation for her arrival I smudge the room we practice in. We have subdued natural light however I enjoy lighting some candles. We greet one another with the teacher student mantra. Together we choose the gentle yoga positions I do under her careful watch. We finish with a short meditation lying down in which she covers me with Mexican blankets. She has told me the name of our yoga many times but I have a poor time remembering.

More about me:

I am deemed disabled but do not or will ever consider myself so. I am a Wife, a Mother and a Grandmother. I enjoy the simple things such as gardening and my old doggies.

My Favorite Quote/What inspires me:

I was raised in old sayings and quotes and have far too many I love however I am thoughtful of two at the moment. “Do things in haste, repent in leisure” and “Tempis Fugit.” There is little that doesn’t inspire me.

Why I want to join this Yoga Community my.yoga-vidya.org

The mantras were in podcasts on my phone! I had stumbled over them and one begin playing. Some I have chanted with my Yogi Master. One was new to me and I thought I may possibly learn more than mantras. Namaste.
