"In 1968; in Canada; I developed the Shaktiananda Yoga technique in the Ashtanga style of Patanjali. I have practiced Yoga since early childhood. The meditation techniques I teach are the same ancient practices from the lineage of the Himalayan masters." ~Gurudevi, Ma [ photo 2011 ]
"Premavatar Paramahansa Yogananda is the author of "The Autobiography of a Yogi". Master appeared to me in childhood the first time I saw his photograph and I knew that he was my personal Guru. From that experience I found a new awakening of my consciousness which led to serious study of his teachings.
Master was always with me in my heart, and I felt his presence very near at times; which always brought the fragrance of roses.
Journeys through the highways of light with Master were joyous. He would come, and look deeply into my soul and invite me to step up directly behind him. I could feel his hair brushing my face. And then he would turn and face the light which became a tunnel of light which we traveled through at a speed faster than light. Many colours of light beams were flying by us as we traveled through the cosmic sea.
On one trip, we arrived on a light platform that was just suspended in the stars. We joined a small group of sages who were gathered together sitting. They were dressed in white robes that wrapped around them. We sat down with them and listened with them to the music of the spheres. The music was everywhere. There were great displays of colour in the cosmic sea, moving with the music. My soul recognized several of the sages and they smiled and spoke with me. There was so much love and joy, and I rose when Master did and he brought me back to my physical body which was sitting in meditation. Master has continued to come to me throughout my life, and I have met other great masters; Yogis and Yoginis.
At the age of 15, my awareness of inner Self was very intense and I experienced the full rising of the kundalini. It began when I asked God, "Who am I and what is this energy I feel inside of me?" The kundalini rose up my spine, rested just before pushing into my heart center; growing much larger. At my heart center, the kundalini burst upward and rose above my head. The serpent now had five heads which opened their eyes and looked around. Each one had individual consciousness and yet all one also. I inwardly asked them, "Who are you?" and they answered in one voice, "We are the protectors of the Christ within you".
Upward my consciousness soared into Father/Mother as they spoke to me and showed me who I am and who they are and how we were also one. Then after a long time; I found myself coming back to my physical body, with new awareness and spiritual abilities. I kept the experience within myself, until recent years when I felt that others may benefit from knowing about how it can happen for anyone who deeply desires to know God.
During my life I have been married and brought five children into this world. My first husband was also a disciple of Yogananda. He introduced me to the teachings of the Ascended Masters and we benefited from their teachings also. We shared experiences together on the inner realms. Masters, Angels and Elementals appeared to us; and sometimes when we were together.
Today, I am still teaching Yoga. My greatest joy is sharing what I have learned with my grown children and grandchildren; my students and others who are true seekers." ~Gurudevi Ma

"I have always found, even as a child, that practicing Yoga Asanas to Ravi Shankar Music activates the energies in the chakras. The whole body becomes one unit of flowing motion; like a dance. Then the meditation session is experienced without body consciousness bringing deep inner states of peace and bliss, and oneness with God." ~Gurudevi Ma
