I am an expert in the following areas:
Medical research into various Yoga practices such as asana, pranayama, meditation, yoga as therapy, sleep scientist, clinical consulting. My work involves Education and Training in Health and Well-Being in four main areas: "Better Breathing", "Better Sleep", "Less Stress" and "Lifestyle Medicine". I speak at conferences, provide seminars, talks, public speaking, corporate training, classes and workshops as well as retreats in Australian and overseas.

Porna sannyasin (Swami) in the Satyananda lineage of the Saraswati branch of the Dasnami order of Sannyasa and have studied directly under Paramahamsa Swami Satyananda and his successor Paramahamsa Swami Niranjanananda from the Bihar School of Yoga in Munger, India.

Consultant Neurophysiologist holding Science degrees in Psychology and Physiology, with a research based Honours degree in Physiology, completed at The Centre For Sleep Research at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in South Australia. I explore the effects of Meditation and Relaxation practices on the heart, brain and autonomic nervous system and run seminars, retreats etc around Australia and overseas on various aspects of Health and Well-Being. A Certified Yoga Teacher, Life Member and Fellow of the "World Society For Clinical Yoga" (Lucknow, India) with over 30 years of experience in classes, personal tuition & clinical counselling in Yoga, Meditation, Relaxation and Stress Management (M.B.T.I. Accredited). Currently teaching and tutoring at Monash University Medical School (Dept of General Practice) while completing research exploring the neurophysiological and neurohormonal effects of meditation techniques, pranayamas, and yoga breathing techniques for less stress and better sleep with industry support from Compumedics Australia.

There was a total of 36 cases of yoga-related injury presentations to Victorian Emergency Departments (ED) among children and adults aged 10 years and older identified on the Victorian Emergency Minimum Dataset (VEMD) over the 5-year period January 2002 to December 2006.
