Swami Anasaktananda met Swami Vishnu in 1968 at Paradise Island, Bahamas. There were so many sandflies, mosquitoes and scorpions on those six acres of land that until today, Swami Anasaktananda cannot understand how Sri Swami Vishnu could stay there all alone in an old house (prior to acquiring the property from Mrs Boswell). Swami Anasaktananda once had to jump over board (1968) to avoid the swarms of sandflies and mosquitoes.

Through Swami Vishnu's organisation this servant has met many good souls, especially Shanmugananda-ji, Sukadev-ji and Brahmananda-ji (Brian Fisher).

Swami Vishnu was a great Master of Hatha Yoga. Who else could have done what he has done?

He inspired this servant to take up the practice of Nada Yoga with the Master, Sri Swami Nada Brahmananda-ji.

Through his organisation this servant has learnt to bear insult and injury.

'You are only a Trustee. God is the real Owner.'

'To err is human. to forgive is divine'.

I would love to have $ 40,000 dollars again to be able to make complete DVD sets for anyone interested, when everyone has their own set I am finished. Yoga has been twisted every kind of way in the West and India has neglected to practiced. One of the sources of Yoga knowledge is Master Sivananda, Swamiji said Master practiced all the Yogas in His 13 years of seclusion and He was a medical doctor. Swami Venkatesendanada wrote Master began Chanting under a tree for 2-3 years the Maha mantra then as a small group they began to have problems. He then began to have problems with the devotees and said, they must know all the Yogas and the Divine Life Society was born.

Pranans to Sukadev, Swami Atma, Shanmugananda, Omkar, Kartikeya, Sharadananda, and all of the disciples of Swami Vishnu that I have met over the years at the various Sivananda Ashrams and Yoga-Vedanta Centers. Some of you may remember me as Sankar from Ottawa (where I still reside). I understand that there is a "reunion" of sorts this August at Val Morin. I will look forward to seeing those of you who are attending.

I have just received a copy of Vishnu-devananda Upadesha: Teachings of Swami Vishnu-devananda, from its compiler, KamalaDevi in Australia. Reading it allowed me to hear Swamiji's voice again and to visualize him giving talks at Val Morin while sitting in his hot tub in Samadhi Estates or while presiding over Satsang in the old administration building. I am profoundly thankful to KamalaDevi for her gift of Self during the years it took to compile the material for this book and for bringing Swamiji back even if for a short time.
