I ...

... am a Yoga Practicioner, ... am a Yoga Teacher, ... have/direct a Yoga Center/studio, ... have a Yoga Ashram, ... live in a Yoga Center or Ashram

I am an expert in the following areas:

Sivananda Yoga, Kriya Yoga, Meditation, Integral Spirituality

My Yoga tradition/style/center, Yoga practice, Yoga Master/s, Teacher/s

I am a Swami of Sivananda Ashram, Rishikesh, The Divine Life Society, International Headquarters of H.H. Swami Sivananda's World Mission, having served as secretary to and received my monastic vows from H.H. Swami Chidananda, President/successor of Swami Sivananda. I resided there 12 years, from 1991 to 2003 and served as Ashram Yogacharya and started the Sivananda Audio/Visual Studio and Library. I have had my own Ashram in Rishikesh since 2003, Himalayan Yogis Ashram. Prior to that i was a sannyasi/resident of Self-Realization Felllowship Ashrams, in California, the Ashrams of Kriya Yoga of Babaji and Paramahansa Yogananda. I am authorized to give Kriya Yoga initiation by an advanced Himalayan Kriya Yogi.

More about me:

I became a renunciate in 1977, right from my studies in architecture and design in college. I wandered as a penniless Yogi around the USA, begging my food, sleeping wherever i found myself, residing for periods of time under trees, in parks, etc. practicing meditation, studying yoga philosophy, in short, practicing austerities to prepare the mind to receive Guru's grace and dedicate my life to monastic/sannyas life. God and Guru have been my unfailing Guides.

My Favorite Quote/What inspires me:

"Adapt, adjust, accommodate, bear insult, bear injury; highest sadhana" H.H. Swami Sivananda I've found this to be my highest teaching, that when adversity, or rather, challenges beset us on the spiritual path, and all life is spiritual life; especially when someone "unfairly" opposes us, we have our greatest opportunity, to use this energy, redirecting it through love, compassion and wisdom, for inner transformation, and for the opening of greater possibilities, both within and without in our our world circumstances. In Truth, our enemies are our greatest friends. The fuel of spiritual evolution is friction. ...of course, not always easy; that why Swami Sivananda said it's the "highest sadhana".
