A multi-instrumentalist, Alexandre has taken part in a variety of musical projects ranging from metal to gnawa and from reggae to hip-hop. With Balaphonik Sound System, he's embarking on his most personal project yet. Everything is produced live in the purest tradition of the troubadour musician. Alexandre travels the tarmac and footpaths, from street to stage, with his sound system cart. Traditional instruments (balafon, didgeridoo, hurdy-gurdy and other Jew's harps) mingle with machines, bass synth and beat box. The whole thing is tied together by a dialect vocal and orchestrated by the loop station. It's a living mixtape, a universal language combined with a dose of improvisation. Alexandre has created his own mode of expression, based on emotional onomatopoeia. He explores the possibilities of the voice as an instrument. His world is steeped in influences from dub, reggae, electro and hip-hop, with sounds that are at once contemporary, traditional and often ethnic. Dynamic and insatiably creative, Balaphonik Sound System gets bodies dancing. It also refreshes and refreshes the spirit.

Multi-instrumentiste, Alexandre a participé à des projets musicaux variés allant du métal au gnawa et du reggae au hip-hop. Avec Balaphonik Sound System, il se lance dans son projet le plus personnel. Tout est produit en live dans la plus pure tradition du musicien troubadour. Alexandre parcourt asphalte et sentiers, de la rue à la scène, avec sa carriole sound system. Les instruments traditionnels (balafon, didgeridoo, vielle à roue et autres guimbardes) se mêlent aux machines, au bass synthé et au beat box. Le tout est lié par un chant-dialecte et orchestré par la loop station. C’est une mixtape vivante, un langage universel, combiné à une dose d’improvisation. Alexandre a ainsi créé son propre mode d’expression, basé sur des onomatopées émotionnelles. Il explore les possibilités de la voix en tant qu’instrument. Son univers est imprégné d’influences dub, reggae, électro, hip-hop, des sonorités à la fois contemporaines, traditionnelles et souvent ethniques. Dynamique et d’une insatiable créativité, Balaphonik Sound System fait danser les corps. Il ressource et rafraîchit aussi les esprits.
