Indian Ragas with Yogendra (Sitar) and Ravi Srinivasan (Tabla) Raga is the most important concept in Indian classical music. Raga is the melodic base in which the sequence of notes, the dominant note, is established with all other specifics. Raga is derived from the Sanskrit word "ranja", which means an element that delights and pleases the mind. Raga is a combination of sounds represented by melodic movements. There are numerous types of ragas such as Multani, Jaunpuri, Gaud, Sorath, Maand and Pahadi, Ahiri, Gurjari, Asavari and more. Raga encompasses the entire range of the octave, beginning with Aroha and ending with Avaroha, in which the singer ends his recitation. You can share the video with others to spread love and harmony.
