Saraswati or Sarasvati (Sanskrit : सरस्वती Sarasvatī f.) is the Hindu goddess of wisdom , creativity and arts . Other names also include " Mahavidya " (great wisdom ), " Jagaddhatri " (mistress of the world) and " Vach " (word , logos symbolizing the perfect speech).
Saraswati is the wife of Brahma and the goddess of wisdom and creativity.
Saraswati is described as a beauty with a milky white face, draped in white robes. Standing or sitting on her mount, the goose, she plays the veena , the Indian lute. In her other two hands she holds a book, the Vedas and a prayer cord. The mantra of Saraswati is Om Aim Saraswatyai Namaha.
