What would be the right posture to sit for meditation. I uses padmasan, but can not sit in comfort.

This question was asked on our facebook page and received several answers - do you have any other advice?

Swami Saradananda: OM - try sukasan - simple cross-legged pose.

Vivek: Did you have any picture of this asan. this may be very useful for me

Sita Chaitanya: Vivek if you go through the wall photos on this site there are tons of photos for sitting. Especially look for the old Black-and-White photos of Swami Vishnu-devananda, they are labeled. Please let me know if that helps.

Guru Bala: For meditation, just sit straight in any pose without any strains in your body !

Kapil: just sit in sukhasan ....!

Bela: There are three choices: the tailor's posture, the lotus posture and the Burmese posture.

Natasha: i prefer the padmasana only only one should practice it first so that one can sit without discomfort for log spells like an hour or an hour and a half . its the most advantageous for many yogic postures .

Vivek: thanks for the good guidance. This is very useful for me.
