This training focuses on an introduction to the Upanishads, the most important scriptures of classical jnana yoga. The Upanishads comprise the philosophical-metaphysical portion of the Vedas and form the basis of Vedanta, the philosophy of non-duality. Swamiji will lead you in a fascinating analysis of the Upanishads, addressing basic questions of human existence, such as: Who am I? What is real? What is happiness? These are designed to lead you to the perception of your real nature, which is pure consciousness. This knowledge will help you to get rid of mental entanglements and show you the way to freedom.

The course includes a survey of Indian scriptures and systems of philosophy, main yoga scriptures, the six Schools of Classical Indian Philosophy, and the Upanishads.

A2: In addition there will be Hatha Yoga teaching and stress management techniques.

This seminar may alternatively be taken as Advanced Yoga Teachers’ Training Intensive F2, which includes additional Vedanta talks instead of the Hatha Yoga teaching and stress management techniques.
