Viveka Chudamani (The Crest-Jewel of Discrimination), Sankaracharya's masterpiece of Advaita Vedanta philosophy, provides the central theme of this course. Shankara composed many sub-texts from the Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita, which are called Prakarana Granthas, with the objective of bringing the message of the Vedas and Upanishads to lay people. Viveka Chudamani, as the name implies, is the crowning achievement of these texts.
