Pragmatic Yoga is Swami Atma's version of Swami Sivananda's yoga of synthesis. The main practices are kriya yoga pranayama and deep meditation which will be practiced twice a day during this 2-week retreat program. There will also be a hatha yoga class per day, some mantra chanting and many other practices which come as a support to the 2 core practices. Many yogis and yoginis would like to make serious progress in meditation but in real life are either incapable of keeping up with the daily practice or end up practicing mechanically and making little progress over time. The goal of this 2-week course is to allow the students to have some significant experiences in meditation and thereby allowing them to carry on with the practice at home on a daily basis and to be equipped to pursue their own path with wisdom, understanding, enthusiasm, and joy.A big emphasis will be a dogma-free approach and environment in which Swami Atma will teach you how to experiment with the different yoga techniques in order to find your own path: The combination of practices which fits you best and brings you the maximum spiritual progress for the time you have to dedicate to yoga. The schedule will be intense enough to favor deep and real progress but light enough to leave enough time for sleep, reflection and assimilation of the teachings. There will be a healthy balance between theory and practice.Swami Atma will lead all the meditations and give the lectures. Some very experienced hatha yoga teachers will be leading the hatha yoga asana and pranayama sessions. There will be no final exam but a diploma will be given to the students who complete the course successfully to the satisfaction of the teachers.Event is in english with German translation. For more information see the official website athttp://pragmaticyoga.org/
