A dance of worship to the Truth and Light that is both in the sun and in your Self! The Sanskrit word surya means sun. Namaskar is the Hindi word for Namaste, from the root nam, to bow. Namaskar means salutation, salute, greeting or praise. Invite yourself to this deep understanding of Yoga through the Mother of all poses “The Sun Salutation” where you would learn to perform this series with innovation, depth and deep understanding of Chakras, Mantras and Breathing along with each pose. This class is for anyone who would like to explore and experience the strength, grace and therapy power of Yoga. In this workshop you will become familiar with the different segments of Sun Salutation. Then the segments will be practice together–moving and breathing through the sequence of 12 poses without tightening the spine. The focus will be on Sun Salutation as a moving meditation. These alternating backward and forward bending postures flex and stretch the spinal column through their maximum range giving a profound stretch to the whole body. The stagnant energies remain locked up and the organs remain de-oxygenated to a large extent. Let us practice, understand Sun Salutation as we energize the prana flowing within us!! Workshop Session winds up with a Question-Answer session. All levels welcome
