There is so much beauty in the acceptance of what is.The Scaravelli approach is based on a unique method of spinal awakening and extension, not through muscular effort and forcefulness, but through softening, yielding, releasing, and allowing time for the postures to unfold naturally, spontaneously, organically. The natural downward pull of gravity not only sustains our connection to the Earth, but also gives way to the resulting upthrust of energy--the same upward flow of energy we observe in nature, in everything that grows. We can find this very same action in our own bodies, and it carries us into a feeling of great effortless energy. As you take yourself experientially into this system of yoga practice, a feeling of freedom and joy emerges from within the body. As we enter a posture and find a place of greater fullness and space in the body, we discover a profound level of releasing deeply held tensions, traumas, and injuries. The body, the mind, and the spirit are transformed. And we blossom.Rossella Baroncini is a direct long time student of Vanda Scaravelli (author of Awakening the Spine). She started to study with her in 1983 at the age of 26. Now Rossella continues to explore the teachings she has received from Vanda maintaining his simplicity and freedom.
