I sprained my neck and injured a disc while performing surya Namaskar(8th time fast mode). I am undergoing physiotherapy for stiff neck. Can i continue doing asanas after sometime? Will yoga make it worse? This question was asked on our facebook page and received several answers - do you have any other advice? Shoumava: All Asanas are not good for this condition, you can do some asanas only like the sitting meditation ones, consult a proper instructor regarding the same Suresh: Slow and study practice of yoga will help to ease the problem.. Surya namaskar should be done with holding posture a bit longer than doing it fast and its an important that every variation should be done by following the breathing system.. make sure you don't get warn out of energy... while you in relaxing pose make sure turn your neck right and left and left to right following inhale and exhale gently.....OM Sarala: good advice!!
