Please advise the number of asanas to strengthen the neck and spine. Seating work makes itself felt :)

Shoumava: Vajrasana is the best

followed with bhujangasana


Solvieg: starting with surynamaskar...


Yasmin: To strengthen the neck and release the tension & stiffness in the neck and shoulder region do the foll asanas...Greeva Sanchalana/Neck Movements. To strengthen the back muscles...Shalabhasana(Locust Pose), Makarasana(Crocodile Pose), Bhujangasana..etc...But please do seek an experts advise before practising the asanas :)



Sumant: For Neck: Sarvangasana!



Shakhar: OM Namah Shivaay

For NECK DO neck rotation, side bending and twisting with breathe. And kapalbhati and nadisodhan pranayam.

For SPINE, Bhujangasan, Triyakbhujang (for neck also) salabhasan with single leg, sarpasan, Kandharasan, and matsyend...arasan (for neck also)or merudandbakarasan.

Shammi: In case you have neck injury, be careful before practicing sarvangasana. Brahma Mudra (which includes very slow neck rotation in all the four direction i.e down trying to touch the chin, at the back, then to the right and to the left). Take 4-5 minutes to complete one cycle. Has to be that slow. For spine relief and strength, do marichayasana 3, ardh matsendrasana, pasasana etc.
