How much time to do yoga at each session

how much time to do yoga at each session on everyday basis.pls share This question was asked by one of our Facebook friends and received several answers. Do you have any other comments? Val: I think it's all about how much time you have. I find that 1 hour 1st thing in the morning is good. However there are some days when I can only do 1/2 an hour and that's still better than nothing. Alok: minimum 30 mins William: 2 hours..1st hour must be more energetic & power, 2nd hour will go through a slow & softer session. Karimanerrisi: 5 mins bfr n aftr for stretching and relaxing in shavaasana; 15 mins atleast for pranayama; and atleast 10 to 15 asanas that your body needs, with a minimum of 1 to 2 mins for each pose with correct breathing. if u r used to doing surya namaskara then add that time as well. Sudheesh: Always count the quality rather than counting quantity, Om Anusha: First loosen and strech for 15-20 minutes. Then do asanas in all 4 positions(atleast two in each position) along with their relaxing positions. Let the asanas be complimentary. I.e if u do bhujangasana relax and do shalabasana next. ...Like that complete all four positions. Then start suryanamaskara(3 normal ,3 fast and 3 maintaining ). Then do meditation and pranayama. It will take one hour to complete all the above. This way u won't leave anything. But remember. Relaxing is important after any asana. Erica: It's not about the time, but rather about how aware n stay focus in the practice! Enjoy yoga enjoy life ! ^^ Karimanaserri: @Sudheesh, Erica - fully agree. Brad: used to be a 3 hour practice, lately hit or miss. Go with the flow, it is not about time or comparison. You are on your path. Not mine or hers or his. Sita Chaitanya: The most important thing is to find a level of practice you can stick with. You have to determine this yourself. If you only have the capacity to practice three times a week and you do this with bhava and regularity you will get far. If you try to practice every day and don't have the capacity for it and end up quitting a month later you will end up getting nowhere. It's best you realistically decide for yourself how much practice you can handle and stick with it.
