How to choose a style of yoga?

How to choose a style of yoga? This is a good question and was answered by a few of our facebook friends - do you have any further suggestions?


Michele: Trying them all and seeing which style speaks to you best. What's good for your friends may not be right for you.


Cinnamon: start with suryanamaskar..


Mita: yoga is complete healler for mind n body.....so all should start with paranam.....n as per the body requirments of each one.....


Shoumava: depending on body type, age, size etc. Health problems, diseases for therapeutic yoga..


Sheeba: one should start with light body movements and streching followed by suryanamaskar.


Ning: my experience, I start learning yoga by learning suryanamaskar, after that it will be easier to do other asanas.... and later on, your body
will tell you which asanas suit for you....


Suguna: I started with Bikram yoga..went on to Vinyasa...ashtanga is pretty exacting , so still practice Vinyasa flow.


Bijith: Patanjali yoga


Praveena: Read Patanjali yogsutra.That 196 line has diagnosis,reason and treatment for body and mind.
