I have had lower back problems for years. Now it seems that my pelvis is out of alignment. I have continued practicing yoga as I always have, however, nothing seems to help bring my hips back into place. Does anybody have any suggestions that might help?
Becky: I actually have the same problem... I have added water yoga and swimming to my routine. Certain poses can be done in the water and alleviates pressure as you do them. Swimming strengthens muscles in my hips and I am virtually pain free. Best of luck to you
Chetankumar: Setu Bandhanasana,Kandharasana,Yoga butterfly ,and Shalbasana will target the muscles we r talking about.
Make Sure U Sit straight ,or with a cushion supporting your lower back.
Have a HIGH PROTEIN Diet, mainly pulses.
Drink more water .
If U fe...el any pain in above asanas ,do it with less extremity.
AVOID sitting Asymmetrically on your hips .
Claire: Apanasana, setu banda, camel- against the wall, so ur hips are on the walk, vrkasana, tadasana, also try this- lying on ur back, place left foot on the floor, bring right knee onto chest, hold knee on the outside with ur right hand, place l...eft hand behind the head, breath in as you, as u exhale take left elbow towards right knee.. Use ur core to lift u. Relax left shoulder and neck.. X 10 both sides, you can play around with staying up there for a few breaths, let me know if this helps. Then, take both hands behind the back, then at the same time take right elbow to right knee left elbow to left knee. Namaste, claire
Ramesh: rider suffers from this type of problems.avoid riding bikes.in case of dislocation asanas with help with massage
Chily: why not try pilates (if the instructor is licensed, he/she can help)? & a routine safe pilates parctice (min. twice/week) will help with your alignments including your pelvis & hips allignments...i hope this helps :)
Niranjan: There is something called Meru Danda Chikitsa. The Art of Living Center in bangalore india has worked immensely on massage and ayurvedic therapies for the back. I have been beenfited greatly fro their expertise in the past. You should contact them....try looking into www.artofliving.org
Vibha: Doing Yoga is good. But you have to know what is right and what you should not do untill you correct your problem. Find a teacher who will guide you. In my experience back pains do not go away. You have to learn pain management.
Sarala: Yes....Mr. niranjan....In workshop of ART OF LIVING we were told about this..

Kapil: 1st f all i want to ask you that do you do pranayama?
if yes, then u r not doing it properly; that`s why the problem occurs.
1st find a right guru & right method then try.
