Yoga to help with nerve pain

One of our facebook friends asked this question - do you have any other advice besides the following? "Any cure for a nerve pain??? I Have a trigger on the right side of face near ear???? Sick of eating medicines.....pls help...."

Mei: dont have any experience in that but i think maybe just stop focussing on that and just learn to let go and relax.

NItin:  If it is only nervine related problem there is many medicine in ayurveda.ever tried any? Seems its "vatvyadhi" I am not clear because it is not mention in ur que.it needs full detail

Mita: no side effect....makes u feel pain free try try reiki.........any time any where it is best to heal.....

Gayathre: a general yoga session with a lot of twists will help. parsava trikonasana, any asana where head is twisted to the opposite side

Jake: be sure you are relaxing your jaw and neck while practicing. When I first started yoga, my jaw was cramping really bad and it turned out that I was bundling all my stress in that muscle. Calm relaxing practice, meditation, and a bit of jaw streching massage seamed to fix the problem. Hope this helps you in your quest for relief. Namaste

Sita Chaitanya: I was going to a physical therapist for awhile and she told me that jaw problems on one side usually have a corresponding hip problem on that same side. Meaning, there is a tightness of some sort in the hip on that same side, that if you work on that, the jaw and the hip can be relaxed at the same time. She also said, oftentimes the tension is being held in the hip and is showing up in the jaw. Don't know if that is the problem for you or not, but I thought I would suggest it since it did work for me. Best wishes.

Umesh: Please consult Chiropractor . The chiropractic has the treatmnt for this.

Risham: anulom-vilom is a cure for every disease...but do under guidance n with daily practice.....

Ramesh: kapalbhati-gugal tablets-drink lot of water-morning evening walk regularly helps

Dawne: Get a massage.

Anna: that might be a lock jaw. if it is the fleshy part where your jaw ends and your ear begins it may be jaw tension. see if the attached works.

Jubi: please hurry....take omega 3 (one/day) ...it works ...

Ong: I don know whether u hv taken any hard food or have you eaten/done a lot of chewing hard or crunchy stuff like nuts or etc. At times,i do experienced that,due to its 'heatiness'. In Chinese,we usually take herbal drink once in a while to cool our body down.
