... am a Yoga Practicioner, ... am a Yoga Teacher, ... have/direct a Yoga Center/studio, ... have a Yoga Ashram
I am an expert in the following areas:
I teach yoga all ages and all stages. In nurseries, sheltered homes for the elderly, workplaces, schools, social clubs, mental out-patients. From under six months, to people in their nineties. I teach a rich mix: anything from kundalini yoga, laughing yoga, hatha yoga, viniyasa sequences - all in accordance with the needs of each group.
My Yoga tradition/style/center, Yoga practice, Yoga Master/s, Teacher/s
My father hails from the Himalyan Brahmin tradiion. I have practiced yoga in many forms, starting with jnana yoga as a child. My formal training is with the British Wheel of Yoga BWY.
More about me:
My father comes from a long line of priests in a remote Brahim village in the foothills of the Himalayas (Himachal Pradesh). He advocated that people should try to become their own guru. If anyone was my guru, it was him. In his local villages girls are, on the whole, not to encouraged to continue with their education after leaving school, at the age of 16. This is often because of their family's limited resouces, or because the parents are not keen to allow their teenage daughters to go to mixed sex institutions. So my father decided to build and set-up an affordable girl's college in Himachal, my birthplace. He has built a centre for excellence. sadly he has passed away. My partner and I are both qualified yoga teachers and we plan to expand the centre by opening it up for yogic development - an ideal retreat for yoga teachers and their groups.
