"Navaratri", the nine-night festival in honour of the divine mother, is taking place right now. For the past 6 nights we have worshipped Devi in the form of Durga (Destruction of negativity) and Lakshmi (Preservation - inner and outer wealth). Saraswati (Creation – wisdom, intuition and creativity) will be worshipped for the next 3 nights.
Victory over the mind can be gained only through knowledge, through understanding; and it is Goddess Saraswati who represents this highest knowledge of the Self.
