Today is starting Navaratri - the nine days in honor of the Divine Mother.
During the first three days Durga is worshipped.
During the next three days Lakshmi ist worshipped.
The last nine days Saraswati ist worshipped.
Today and the next two days recite the Mantra Om Shri Durgayai Namaha - and other Mantras/Kirtans in praise of the Divine Mother.

Secondly, I would like say here that in these nine days, first three days we worship for Maa Goddess Saraswati, Second thee days for Maa Goddess Kali and Third Three days for Maa Goddess Laxhmi.
No-matter, what one does but it matter how they do, The true selfless LOVE is sufficient to have her blessing.
