As the car has an engine with different spare parts, a human body has different organs. Each organ just like spare parts has a function to play. If something goes wrong with even one of it, then the whole system can stop working or perform less efficiently. So it is important to take care of your machine very carefully regularly.

Our body every moment collects toxins or waste which needs to be evacuated from time to time. The extra toxin can be evacuated by either exercise or by fasting if not by natural processes. Fasting is a very authentic and traditional method which has a history dating back to hundred years ago. It is an effective way through which digestive fire gets kindled and all the toxins are burnt from the body and mind. It also helps in making the body light and preserving your health.

Ayurveda suggests regular, short term fasting for better health results. Setting a particular day in a week or month for fasting is the best way to get good results.

The major benefits of fasting are –

  • Clarity of Mind
  • Lightness of Body
  • Increased Energy
  • Smooth Digestion with no gas or bowel related problems
  • Fresh breath

It is important to choose your fasting period very wisely. It is advisable to follow a relaxed routine while fasting.

Fasting is not the only important aspect which needs to be looked after, it is pivotal to understand that breaking the fast also holds equal importance. One should always begin eating something light and gradually move to solid foods.

Panchakarma:

Panchakarma means “five actions or treatments” in Sanskrit. It is the primary method of detoxification in Ayurveda. It removes all the excess toxins from the body. Ayurveda is a very safe and gentle method to facilitate purification of tissues and organs. Panchakarma includes light fasting, oil massage and steam therapy. These methods help majorly in eliminating the toxins which have got accumulated in the body.

Rejuvenation of body is very important because it ensures the smooth functioning of your body without any hiccups or hindrance. This can be done by using the natural methods effectively. But it is also vital to mention here that one needs to consult the doctor before going ahead with fasting. Every body type is different and needs different treatment. Hence it is advisable to take professional consultation before going ahead with the process of fasting. Panchakarma is particularly recommended for healthy people once in every season.
