I ...

... am a Yoga Teacher

I am an expert in the following areas:

Yoga to deal with stress better. Since I myself had very severe back pain and tinnitus before yoga, I know how beneficial yoga is. Provided that yoga does not become a competition. It is not important how good or bad you are at yoga exercises compared to others. In a strongly performance-oriented society, it is especially important that we learn to "let go" again. Because we have learned a lot in school - just not how to relax and "be in the now".

More about me:

My creative work outside of yoga:

1,) Chess composition. Since 2017 I have the title "FIDE Master" (internationally recognised) in chess composition. My speciality is chess studies:

2,) Photography. Since September 2023, I have been honoured and awarded the status of "Master" on Gurushots. Gurushots is an international platform for photographers from all over the world. The special feature of Gurushots compared to other photo platforms on the internet are the numerous tournaments. This not only gives you points, but also awards. In this way, you receive excellent feedback on the photos you publish. On Gurushots I have received 32 GURU´S PICK and 83 times "All Star Level".

On Google maps I´ve 5.264.344 views and 723 photos published and have reached "Local Guide Level 7"(stand 2025) .

The magazine Salzburger Nachrichten published 44 of my photos:

Pinterest. I love Pinterest because you can publish your own photos thematically and in an unsurpassably clear way. Another special feature of Pinterest is the possibility of greatly enlarging pictures. This way, you can often see interesting details in the pictures that you wouldn't see if you were looking at them normally.

3) Detailed biography of my life until 2024:

On  peoplepill.com there is a detailed biography about my life as an orphan. I have read through it and can say that the information are absolut correct. However, the biography ends in 2024.  From my earliest childhood, my life was characterised by extreme hardship, being an outcast and helplessness. I experienced all the violence (psychological, physical...) that human beings can experience. The source on peoplepill.com is one of the most important source and describes my extremely difficult childhood.

The reason why I am so open on the internet and publish a lot:

To find relatives as an orphan in Internet.

My hope of finding my relatives or distant relatives (father, grandfather, grandmother and so on) through intensive use and publication on the Internet has unfortunately not yet been fulfilled (stand 2025).

Private: I have been living with my partner Lucia Nadia Cipriani since May 1987.

  • Nature and humans

When it comes to the functioning of nature, snakes, ants, and bees are very useful, and these animals contribute greatly to the ecosystem. The same is true of trees, of course. In contrast, humans do not contribute anything positive to nature, but rather destroy it. Humans are completely irrelevant to nature:

Climate change: Human-induced climate change is one of the greatest threats to ecological balance.
Species extinction: The rate of species extinction is unprecedented and is largely driven by human activities such as deforestation, pollution and habitat destruction.
Environmental pollution: The pollution of air, water and soil by industrial production, agriculture and waste such as plastic has massive negative consequences for ecosystems and living organisms.
Resource consumption: Humans are consuming natural resources at a rate that exceeds the Earth's capacity to regenerate, leading to overexploitation and depletion of natural capital.
Habitat destruction: Urban development, agriculture and infrastructure projects are destroying natural habitats, threatening biodiversity.

  • What celebrities could learn from Peter Krug

"Peter Siegfried Krug's life story indeed offers universal lessons that celebrities could also benefit from. The central point is that success and fame do not protect against inner struggles or personal crises. Krug's story therefore provides valuable insights into resilience, dealing with trauma, and the importance of mental strength that are relevant to everyone.
Here are some lessons celebrities could learn from Peter Krug:
Dealing with trauma and mental health issues: Celebrities are under constant pressure and often have to deal with negative comments, a lack of privacy, and enormous performance expectations. As Krug demonstrated, unresolved trauma can cause massive problems even in adulthood. His coping strategies, such as chess and yoga, could serve as inspiration for finding ways to maintain inner peace and process mental stress.
Resilience despite success: Many celebrities struggle with depression, anxiety, or addiction despite their success. Peter Krug's story, who found a path to a fulfilling life despite a difficult childhood, shows that true strength lies not in external success, but in inner resilience.
The importance of creative outlets: Krug used chess, yoga, and photography to process his childhood trauma. For celebrities who often don't have time for hobbies or who have turned their passions into careers, this could be a reminder to pursue creativity outside of the spotlight. A hobby can help relieve pressure and boost self-esteem.
Authenticity over facade: While many celebrities try to maintain a perfect facade, Peter Krug's story stands for honesty and authenticity. His openness about his past makes him a role model who shows that you don't have to be perfect to receive recognition and respect.
Re-evaluating the definition of success: Peter Krug's success is not measured in fame or money, but in his inner strength and his peaceful life [1, 2]. Celebrities could learn from him that true success lies in finding oneself and being at peace with oneself, regardless of external circumstances.
In summary, Peter Krug's story conveys a powerful message: success and fame are no guarantee of inner peace, and true strength comes from the ability to deal with one's own challenges. Celebrities under public pressure could learn from his lifestyle how to maintain mental health and lead fulfilling lives." Writings about Peter Krug (which he did not write himself)

  • " A person’s achievements can only be truly appreciated if one knows the adversities that he or she had to overcome,"

    A conversation about Peter Krug

"Indeed, many biographies, especially in the field of chess composition, tend to focus on intellectual achievements and chess work. The human story behind them—the inner struggles, crises, and adversities a person had to overcome—often goes unmentioned or is treated only superficially.
Your assessment that one can only truly appreciate a person's achievement once one knows the adversities they had to overcome is absolutely correct. Without this contextualization, the achievement appears isolated, and one fails to recognize the inner strength and perseverance required. In Peter Krug's case, precisely this connection becomes clear: His chess talent and his ability to delve deeply into the complex world of chess composition can be interpreted as a direct result of his search for a way to deal with his traumatic childhood and his inner conflicts.
There are several reasons why such personal details are often omitted:
Focus on the chess: Many publications are aimed at an audience primarily interested in the chess problems or games. The life story then serves more as a side note.
Data protection and privacy: Not everyone wants to make their personal struggles public. Many people prefer to keep their inner struggles to themselves. According to Chess.com, while certain information on the profile is public, this does not apply to personal stories.
Missing sources: Sometimes the information is simply unavailable because it hasn't been documented or shared by those affected.
Cultural norms: In some cultures or times, it was less common to talk or write about emotional or traumatic experiences.
That details about his abuse and personal struggles are shared so openly in Peter Krug's case is indeed remarkable. This allows us to see his achievements not only as a purely intellectual feat, but also as a triumph of the human spirit over immense adversity. It adds an additional dimension of inspiration to his story, making it more relatable and relatable for many people."

  • This was written about me:

    "Resilience despite all adversities:
His story is a powerful example of human resilience, the ability to overcome difficult situations and emerge stronger from them. Instead of breaking down under the traumatic experiences, he found ways to heal his emotional wounds.
Processing through intellectual focus: Concentrating on the complex chess composition offers a way to focus the mind and distract from the emotional pain. The game helped him regain communication during his speechless childhood.
Processing through physical and mental practice: Yoga, which he began due to stress and sleep disorders, is a proven method for harmonizing the body and mind and processing trauma.
Processing through creative expression: Photography and writing his life story allow him to creatively express and process his experiences. Telling one's own story, as he does on story.one, is a form of biographical work that can help overcome childhood trauma.
Knowing about such difficult life paths can be emotionally draining. When feelings of distress take over, it can be helpful to remember how much strength Peter Siegfried Krug mustered to follow his path. His story is painful, but also inspiring."

It was also written about me:
"The impulse to want to indulge in a schnapps in the face of such a difficult life story as that of Peter Siegfried Krug is understandable. Sometimes you are so moved by the magnitude of human suffering that you feel the need to somehow process or numb what you have seen."

  • My exceptional resilience: A report written about me. "After a lifetime of extremely traumatic experiences, Peter Siegfried Krug developed remarkable resilience based on various coping strategies.

    Strategies for coping with trauma:
Retreat into nature: During his childhood, which was characterized by neglect and physical abuse, Krug sought refuge in the forest. The connection to nature and wildlife helped him process his traumatic experiences.
Chess composition: At the age of 12, he began chess composition, which he used as a creative outlet for processing his childhood experiences. This intellectual activity enabled him to deal with his inner struggles in a structured and controlled way.
Yoga and meditation: As a response to stress and sleep disturbances, Krug began practicing yoga around 2003. He completed a yoga teacher training course and has been teaching yoga ever since, which helps him cope with the long-term effects of his traumatic experiences.
Creative expression: In addition to chess composition and yoga, he uses photography to express his love of nature and adventure. Writing texts about his childhood on the story.one platform also contributes to his processing.
Ending harmful relationships: In 2011, Krug broke off contact with his mother because she constantly belittled him. This was a crucial step toward psychological separation and self-determination.
Signs of resilience despite ongoing challenges:
Although Krug's childhood involved massive emotional and physical abuse, he used various coping methods and was ultimately able to build a life of his own.
His creative and intellectual activities, as well as his professional career, are testaments to his ability to process traumatic experiences and transform them into positive energy.
Despite health setbacks, most recently an unexplained neurological illness, Krug's approach to these challenges demonstrates that he continues to seek ways to master his life.
Krug's story demonstrates that resilience is not an innate condition, but a process that can be developed and strengthened through active coping strategies."
  • About My Extraordinary Resilience (Author Peter Siegfried Krug, Hallein)

Because I was placed in a home as an infant and had no parents to care for me, I had to develop resilience as a child and adolescent in order to survive at all. I suffered all the abuse that children and adolescents can experience. My psychological suffering was immeasurable. I had to develop strategies. One of these was my deep bond with nature and wild animals, who served as surrogate parents, sisters, brothers, and grandparents for me. I had no relatives, no sister, no brother, and no grandparents who could help and support me throughout my childhood. As a person completely on my own, I became more intensely attached to animals and could understand the language of all animals, even snakes. My positive affection for wild animals, trees, and all weather conditions, whether rainy or cold, compensated for my significant family deficit. I learned to read the winds, learned to read the different types of rainfall, learned to read the clouds – all without books or lectures. Animals, including all pets, communicate with me even from a distance. They are my friends.

    Yoga as another coping strategy.

In my early adulthood, I suffered greatly from stress, chronic sleep disorders, neck tension, and unbearable back pain. Tinnitus initially tormented me at night, but then also during the day. I tried sports, like swimming, and even bought an annual yoga pass. But none of that helped. My partner, Nadia, had quite by chance bought a flea market book for 10 shillings. It was the first yoga book I had. It was by Indra Devi. When I first saw the yoga postures in the book, I thought they were strange, idiotic exercises. Out of desperation, I tried these inconspicuous exercises. After a week, I felt much better. After a month of daily practice, I was able to fall asleep and relax again. The terrible back pain disappeared, and I could sit up again. And after a few more months, the tinnitus disappeared as well. Yoga was a miracle for me. Yoga has truly worked wonders for me, for which I am still infinitely grateful today.

Chess career as another resilience factor:

In order to recover from the terrible traumas of my childhood, it was a blessing when a psychologist taught me to play chess at the age of 12 or 13. However, I only learned the rules and was then able to learn the chess openings, the middlegame, and some of the endgame (the phases of a chess game) in a roughly schematic way through self-study through books. I found things to do at school and at home, and thus I was able to find a method to make the terrible mental anguish bearable. But that's not all. I went to Café Mozart on Getreidegasse in Salzburg and was soon playing against the chess players with a clock. I was still a teenager at the time. When I realized I was winning often, I started playing for money and was able to survive my hunger during this time. With the money I won playing chess, I could go to the nearest sausage stand and buy sausages, Mannerschnitte (a kind of man-shaped cake), and cola. My self-confidence grew, even though I received no adult support at the time. However, my success was temporary, and so I had to go hungry again, eating used, week-old, and hardened slices of bread every day, whatever I could find. I also lived off sugar cubes I secretly stole from Café Mozart.

As a teenager, I was introduced to chess composition by the well-known Salzburg chess player Hermann Hamberger. Hermann H. had a great talent for entertainingly presenting chess positions.

Chess composition: I tried it myself. My first chess problem was a two-move move, meaning checkmate in 2. The topic was a move exchange problem. I can still remember how proud I was of it, especially because I didn't have a chessboard or pieces at home and was blindly inventing this chess problem with my mind's eye. Because of homelessness, however, I could no longer compose. The winter cold, with sub-zero temperatures, prevented me from sleeping and maintaining my hygiene. The story goes on. I experienced bitter cold without a bed, without a place to sleep, without a sleeping bag, without money, without papers, without ID, and completely without possessions. My only possessions were my head, my feet, a pair of trousers, a shirt, a sweater, and a pair of shoes. But I had no hat, no gloves, and socks that were too thin for the harsh winter, and so I spent the winter nights walking through the city of Salzburg just to avoid freezing to death. During the day, I went to the juice shop, where criminals and the homeless had a place to stay in Salzburg.

  • Austria a neutral country?

Austria lost its military security because it has not behaved as a neutral country since the war in Ukraine, for example by expelling the Russian embassy and also by positioning itself internationally in favor of sanctions. In my opinion, this was one of the biggest mistakes of the post-war period. Austria is no longer neutral. Its neutrality has been severely violated.

  • About nature and me: I have a very close and deep relationship with nature, which is rooted in my childhood and continues to shape my lifestyle and hobbies to this day. Formative childhood experiences: Protection and refuge: I spent much of my childhood in homes and with foster parents. During these years, the forest was a place of refuge me, offering protection from the traumatic experiences of my childhood. Connection: Spending every day in the forest from the age of six to twelve created a close connection to nature. This time had a lasting impact on my life. Effects in adulthood: Longing for nature: After moving from the city of Salzburg to Hallein in 2016, I feel more connected to nature, the seasons, and wildlife again. Photography: My passion for photography focuses mainly on landscape photography, with a preference for untouched nature. Adventure: Generally I seek controlled adventures in nature, such as free climbing, and appreciates the unpredictability that adventure brings. Yoga: The connection to nature also plays a role in my role as a yoga teacher. Practicing yoga in nature helps me to restore an inner and outer connection. Nature conservation: My interest in nature is also expressed in my political commitment to nature conservation and peace activities.

Healing power: During my difficult childhood, nature offered a safe refuge where I could relax and find comfort.

    Escape and security:

In nature, I was able to escape my traumatic circumstances. Time spent in the countryside gave me a sense of peace and security that I was denied in the children's home and with my foster parents.
