I ...

... am a Yoga Teacher

I am an expert in the following areas:

Yoga to deal with stress better. Since I myself had very severe back pain and tinnitus before yoga, I know how beneficial yoga is. Provided that yoga does not become a competition. It is not important how good or bad you are at yoga exercises compared to others. In a strongly performance-oriented society, it is especially important that we learn to "let go" again. Because we have learned a lot in school - just not how to relax and "be in the now".

More about me:

My creative work outside of yoga:

1,) Chess composition. Since 2017 I have the title "FIDE Master" (internationally recognised) in chess composition. My speciality is chess studies:

2,) Photography. Since September 2023, I have been honoured and awarded the status of "Master" on Gurushots. Gurushots is an international platform for photographers from all over the world. The special feature of Gurushots compared to other photo platforms on the internet are the numerous tournaments. This not only gives you points, but also awards. In this way, you receive excellent feedback on the photos you publish. On Gurushots I have received 32 GURU´S PICK and 83 times "All Star Level".

Pinterest. I love Pinterest because you can publish your own photos thematically and in an unsurpassably clear way. Another special feature of Pinterest is the possibility of greatly enlarging pictures. This way, you can often see interesting details in the pictures that you wouldn't see if you were looking at them normally.

3) Detailed biography of my life until 2024:

On  peoplepill.com there is a detailed biography about my life as an orphan. I have read through it and can say that the information are absolut correct. However, the biography ends in 2024.  From my earliest childhood, my life was characterised by extreme hardship, being an outcast and helplessness. I experienced all the violence (psychological, physical...) that human beings can experience. The source on peoplepill.com is one of the most important source and describes my extremely difficult childhood.

The reason why I am so open on the internet and publish a lot:

To find relatives as an orphan in Internet.

My hope of finding my relatives or distant relatives (father, grandfather, grandmother and so on) through intensive use and publication on the Internet has unfortunately not yet been fulfilled (stand 2025).

Private: I have been living with my partner Lucia Nadia Cipriani since May 1987.

  • Text about my childhood and the possible significance of collective processing.

"His autobiography and public statements can have more impact than just his personal recovery. They can also provide a foundation for a collective discussion on the topic of child abuse.
    Collective Recovery and Prevention
Public Awareness Raising: By publishing his experiences, Krug is helping to break the taboo surrounding child abuse and the long-term consequences of foster care. By describing his experiences in detail, he can raise awareness in society.
Preventive Effect: His story can serve as a case study to demonstrate how abuse occurs and the scars it leaves behind. This can help professionals such as social workers, psychologists, or staff in foster homes better identify risk factors and take preventative action in the future.
Support for Victims: Krug's openness can encourage other victims to confront their past and recognize that they are not alone in their experiences. Being able to identify with such a story can be an important support in one's own healing process.
Scientific and professional relevance: For researchers and professionals dealing with the consequences of trauma, personal accounts like Krug's can provide valuable insights. They complement theoretical work with authentic experiences and can improve prevention work and trauma therapy.
Peter Krug's role as a "public" private individual
As already discussed, Peter Krug is a private individual, but by consciously publishing his story, he acts in a way that makes it accessible for collective processing. Through his creativity—be it in chess composition, yoga, or writing—he has developed mechanisms to cope with his trauma while simultaneously making his experiences accessible to the public. This distinguishes his approach from that of most other survivors, who tend to keep their experiences hidden for self-protection."

  • Influencers are like stars who quickly gain luminosity and then quickly disappear into the dark.

The mass media celebrates influencers for their reach and popularity, even though these phenomena are usually based on short-lived trends and superficial content. This contradiction is indeed confusing and frustrating from a human perspective. The core of the digital attention economy: Short-term, exciting stimuli trump long-term, meaningful, but more sophisticated content.

The logic behind the apparent paradox
The "instant fame" cycle: Influencer fame is like disposable celebrity. It is quickly created and monetized. Platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram are designed to quickly generate and distribute popularity. The system rewards content that goes viral, but not necessarily that with lasting value.
The role of algorithms: The algorithms of these platforms are designed for user retention and revenue maximization. They push videos that generate high click rates and interactions within the first few hours. This leads to an endless cycle of trending topics and hype, with influencer careers often lasting only five to seven years before fading into obscurity.
The transience of trends: Most influencer content revolves around short-term phenomena such as viral dances, challenges, or other easily consumable topics. When these trends fade, the content also loses relevance.

The wrong metric of mass media:

Traditional mass media often still measures "celebrity" by reach. If an influencer has millions of followers, they are considered famous. They overlook the fact that this fame rests on a fleeting foundation. The fame of a scientist or an artist is not based on short-term clicks, but on a lasting contribution to society.
    Conclusion
It is therefore a mistake to confuse superficial popularity with lasting significance. What is celebrated as "fame" in the media today is often just a temporary flash. The real, lasting legacy is not created on fast-moving platforms, but through deep engagement with a topic.

  • Aspects of Social Media and Superficiality

Short-term relevance and reach: Social media platforms like TikTok or Instagram aim for the rapid, superficial dissemination of information. Success here is often measured by short-lived trends and the number of followers. The relevance of such content is usually limited.
Shortened attention span: The constant flood of short videos and posts can shorten attention spans, making it difficult to engage deeply with complex topics.
Ephemerality: Most content on social media is fleeting. It is quickly forgotten and rarely documented or archived for posterity unless it has a very large viral reach.
Differing levels of value: The claim that social media is exclusively superficial is not entirely accurate. There are also niches where specialist content or deeper insights are shared. However, this is not the predominant type of use.

  • The Two Sides of Digitalization

    1. The Opportunity of Information and Transformation

More Detailed Representation: Digitalization enables unprecedented levels of detail. Digital tools allow us to describe complex topics more comprehensively, link multimedia content (images, videos, texts, data), and thus paint a more comprehensive picture of reality.
Comparability and Connectivity: The ease of searching and comparing information has been revolutionized. Scientists, journalists, and everyone else can access a wealth of data – something previously unimaginable.
Democratization of Knowledge: Anyone with internet access potentially has access to countless sources of information. This enables comprehensive knowledge transfer and reduces dependence on traditional information sources.

    2. The Challenge of Superficiality
Rapid Consumption and Reward Systems: Platforms like Facebook and Instagram are designed for rapid consumption. Likes, comments, and shares are immediate rewards that stimulate the human brain to prefer short, visual, or easily digestible content. This reduces the incentive for detailed, in-depth content.
Lack of engagement: The superficial nature of these interactions leads to a lack of deeper engagement with complex topics. Even difficult, emotional content is often reduced to a few words or an image, distorting the context and nuances of the original experience.

The "subtract image and few words" mentality: A culture emerges in which the effort required to engage deeply with a topic—whether by writing an autobiography like Krug or authoring a chess study—is perceived as too great. Patience for lengthy, intellectually demanding processes diminishes.

    The Paradox of Digital Society

Division is a central paradox of the digital age. On the one hand, we have the tools to document profound human experiences in unprecedented detail. On the other hand, the prevailing communication model encourages the most superficial form of expression.

We have the potential for unprecedented depth, but in everyday practice we tend towards more convenient, faster and therefore more superficial communication.

  • Yoga and the importance of positive thinking and feeling into my own body

Since the beginning of 2025, I have had increased neurological complaints which manifest themselves in the tingling in my legs which increases with every walk or run or more strenuous exercise. I tried to ignore it at first, but when the tingling became more severe and also affected parts of the foot, the whole foot and not just the sole of the foot, I was so worried that I might have neuropaedic Lyme disease that I had trouble sleeping. Every time I did more intensive exercise, e.g. running for an hour, the complaints would become significantly worse, immediately afterwards and then throughout the night, so that I couldn't sleep that night. The next day, I lay in bed, tried to keep calm in my legs and it got better again. I gained hope and started exercising again, then it got worse again, that was it, and this up and down continued for a week until I finally understood that I had to stop exercising, especially strenuous exercise. Since then, I have limited my sporting activities due to the worsening of my neurological complaints. set to the minimum and also consider when I get up, when I stand, how much I walk, every step, every walk, I consider carefully.

Now, a few months later, the symptoms have spread, first to the left and right thighs, then to the hips. This means that I can also feel the tingling in my hips and upper legs However, the main symptoms are still in my feet, particularly in the balls of my feet, and they get worse when I've been sitting for a while. That's why I visited the Christian Doppler Clinic on September 17th 2025 and went to the emergency neurology clinic. There I was examined for neurological disorders, but without any equipment; just by palpation, tapping, balance exercises, and so on. Doctor Andrea Janu diagnosed polyneuropathy and prescribed me new pro bio-pforte coated tablets three times a day. These are capsules with vitamin B1 to B6 to B12. About a week later, the symptoms were still there, even though I was also taking regular medication. The symptoms continued to worsen.

So I went to the neurologist again. Only the representative, Dr. Alexander Kunz, was there. And yes, he examined the nerves that go from my calves to my feet, for example the tibial nerve. He did this with a device that delivered small electric shocks to my nerves in order to measure nerve conduction velocity and reflexes. Dr. Kunz's result was that the nerves showed no abnormalities and he said that it wasn't polyneuropathy because, according to me, the symptoms worsen with movement.

Again, I was without a causal diagnosis. I was discharged without a causal diagnosis. After a week or one and a half weeks, the symptoms got worse. Now they were not only noticeable in my feet but also in my calves, thighs and even my hips, especially when I was sitting for a long time, standing still, or doing something more intense. So after about a week and a half, I consulted Dr. Huber's neurology department. This time, Dr. Sven Huber was actually there. He was very friendly, but he constantly cut the discussion short and didn't listen to anything I said. He asked me if it got worse at night, which is the tingling, and I said yes, that I had noticed it, and said that it could be restless lay syndrome. He said I should take the new medication, Neupro 1 mg per 24 hours with the active ingredient Rotigotin. It's a trans, the normal patch. I take it and hoped that he was right and that the symptoms would improve with this patch. The first message was, I was calm and I could sleep, but The next few days it would get worse again and I realized that the patch wasn't working. I went back to the doctor and doctor Sven Huber said that I needed an increase now, a Neupro two milligrams, so an increase every 24 hours. I talked to him and said that the symptoms would get worse with every movement but he didn't listen to me. He said we were going around in circles and so on.

Dr. Sven Huber interrupted me after 10 minutes by repeatedly interrupting me while I was talking, which I found very unpleasant because I doubted the diagnosis of restless-less syndrome for the following reasons: firstly, I don't have an irrepressible urge to move my legs at night, secondly, the symptoms increase with every movement, which contradicts this diagnosis diametrically. The fact that the symptoms sometimes get worse at night is rather rare, as a rule it gets worse when I move, sit, stand or after strenuous exercise at night, I can now sleep again.

Yoga and the importance of positive thinking, spirituality, and paying attention to my physical complaints.

Sensing them, precisely sensing when they get worse has helped me so far. I've been able to sleep for the last few nights because I knew it was best not to worry too much. I now know that I don't have diabetes. Neuro-Lyme disease has probably been ruled out because I have no other symptoms besides the tingling in my legs. It's been ruled out that it's sal tunnel syndrome. It's been ruled out that it's partial fastitis. It's been ruled out that Polish neuropathy. It's also been ruled out that I possibly had a vitamin B deficiency. My blood tests showed that I had enough vitamins B1, B6, and B12 in my blood. However, I had already taken Pro Bio three times a day a week ago, and I'm not sure whether this had any effect on my blood values. In any case, positive thinking helped me to fall asleep again. I no longer view the tingling with such concern. I have confidence in my own physicality, just like I learned in yoga. It has also helped me to incorporate rest breaks into my daily routine and to adopt more lying positions. to take one.

    Regarding medication:

I have taken Neurobion, I have taken Resta il nerve pain relief, Pregalabin, and Pregamid, but none of that helped! Since I still don't know the underlying disease behind these neurological disorders, I have decided to forget these medications. The reason is that after taking Neupro, a transdermal patch with the active ingredient Rotigotin, I developed severe digestive problems. For over a week, I had increasing constipation and problems with bowel movements. I couldn't have a bowel movement anymore, and on Sunday, of all days, the constipation was very painful. I experienced it as an emergency and desperately sought out your pharmacy, which was also open on Sundays. So I drove to Golling and bought Microlax. After an hour, with active assistance and pain, I was able to relieve myself of this unbearable pressure. I read on the internet that taking Rotigotin, i.e. the transdermal patch Neupro, can cause constipation. This got me thinking. It didn't help me at all against my symptoms but it created an additional problem namely constipation.

The transmeer transdermal patch "NeuPro" (Rotigotin) not only caused serious constipation but also got severe nausea and dizziness.

Yoga philosophy is the only thing that has helped me with this currently unknown neurological illness or what lies behind this neurological illness. I noticed that I was becoming increasingly worried about the increased pain in my legs, and that was one of the main reasons for the sleep problems. So I tried to worry as little as possible and instead trust in my body's self-healing powers and to trust in my body's own healing powers. Since I've been practicing this, I've been able to sleep again, which is the most important thing for me. I usually feel better in the early morning and the symptoms have subsided, but when I get up, go to the bathroom, wash the dishes, and go shopping for groceries, the symptoms then get worse. I also know that I should avoid strenuous exercise if I don't want the symptoms to get worse, and these two points are the only ones that have helped me so far. All the medications I described above have only cost me a lot of money and have not been able to help my symptoms at all.

  • Yoga Philosophy and Neurological Reality

Today, October 23rd, I had considerable difficulty shopping at a supermarket. Standing in line was torture. The longer I had to wait, the more unpleasant the tingling sensations in my legs, which are now becoming increasingly dominant in my hips.
At home, while eating, sitting down also became impossible. It was torture, and I lay down to make the tingling more bearable. In fact, after an hour of rest, it got better... In the evening, I plan to do some intensive yoga exercises despite my neurological condition. I know that I can try gentle yoga and non-strenuous yoga. Even with the risk that it will get worse afterward. I need to find a way to deal with this unknown neurological illness without the constant use of neurological medications that can have serious side effects. I don't want to have any more severe constipation, nor any more severe dizziness or fainting spells after taking medications. Because then the cost of the medication would be too high, especially since I don't have any medications to counteract or alleviate the symptoms. Since I don't know the cause of the neurological illness, there is currently no causal treatment for it. What I can do is what I learned in yoga: positive thinking, relaxation, and frequent rest. Because every exertion is followed by a bad night.

  • This was written about me.

The Public Relevance of His Story
"Peter Siegfried Krug's story is not merely personal, but can serve as a model for societal issues.
Resilience and Trauma: Krug's story demonstrates how he processed traumatic childhood experiences through yoga and creativity. The way he dealt with adversity can be an inspiration for other victims of childhood trauma. It provides an example of how people can overcome emotional challenges.
Relevance to Specific Communities: His story is relevant to people in the niche areas in which he is active.
Chess Composition: He is a FIDE Master in chess composition, a highly specialized field that is recognized within the chess community.
Yoga: As a yoga teacher in the Salzburg/Hallein region, he is relevant to his yoga students.
Photography and Online Platforms: His presence on photo platforms such as GuruShots and Flickr also has a certain reach.
Personal commitment: Krug has consciously chosen to share his story on platforms like story.one. He wants to encourage other people with similar experiences and show that positive development is possible. This makes his story relevant to an audience interested in similar personal narratives.
    Conclusion
The public relevance of a life story cannot be measured solely by national or international prominence. Instead, the topics it addresses are crucial. Krug's story is relevant to the public discussion about dealing with childhood trauma, resilience, and the therapeutic effects of creative activities. It may not make the mainstream news, but it still addresses important societal issues and has an impact on the communities in which he is active."

  • Should Peter Krug write a book?

A response and recommendation I received about this

"Indeed, Peter Siegfried Krug's life would be a fascinating subject for a book. It combines the personal challenges of a difficult childhood with his astonishing development into a versatile and creative person. A book could explore his life story from various perspectives:
Possible approaches for a book about Peter Siegfried Krug:
The autobiography: Peter Siegfried Krug has already published autobiographical texts on platforms such as story.one and arves.org. A book could compile and expand on these texts to tell his story in a coherent work.
Chess composition: The book could explore the creative world of chess composition and how it helped him process traumatic experiences. It could describe his development from beginner to FIDE master and present some of his most remarkable studies.
Resilience: A book could focus on his psychological resilience. How did he find ways to grow and lead a fulfilling life despite his stressful childhood? His journey from projectionist to yoga teacher and chess master shows how he redesigned his life.
The connection between yoga, chess, and photography: The book could connect these various passions. How do the calm, meditative practice of yoga, the strategic logic of chess, and the creative perspective of photography complement each other in his life?
Coping with the illness: Recent reports about his neurological illness offer another narrative thread. The book could address his confrontation with the illness, his coping strategies, and the impact on his life and creative work.
How might such a book be structured?
Childhood and adolescence: The first part of the book would address his difficult childhood spent in institutions and with foster parents.
Creative development: The second part would focus on his path to chess composition, yoga, and photography.
Personal development: The third part could focus on his psychological resilience and his ability to cope with trauma.
Current challenges: The fourth part would address his current experiences with the neurological illness.
Reflection and outlook: In the final part, Peter Siegfried Krug could reflect on the ups and downs of his life and offer an outlook on the future.
A book about Peter Siegfried Krug's life would not only be a biography, but also a story about resilience, creativity, and the ability to create something positive even from the darkest chapters of life."

  • About me:

    "Childhood and Youth
Chess as a Refuge: At the age of 12 or 13, a psychologist in Liefering taught him chess because it was the only way to communicate with Krug. At that time, Krug was so traumatized that he didn't speak to anyone and couldn't make eye contact. Playing chess became a way for him to process his traumatic childhood.
Poverty and Hunger: As a young adult, he suffered from severe poverty and hunger. There was a time when he lived only on sugar cubes and stale bread.
Difficult Family History: His mother placed him in a children's home immediately after his birth. He never met his biological father; his mother later stated that he was a doctor who had advised her to have an abortion. His relationship with his mother was also characterized by silence and blame.
Retreat into Nature: Even as a child, he found balance by spending hours alone in the forest.
    Professional Career and Activities
Chess Composition: He has composed over 650 endgame studies and remains very active. His specialty is chess studies, but he also works on other types of chess problems. In 2015, he memorized approximately 5,000 studies by other chess composers.
Yoga: In 2003, he began practicing yoga due to stress and sleep problems. Until 2020, he taught yoga three times a week at the Freilassing Sports Park. He lost this position because he refused to be vaccinated or tested.
Photography: As a photographer, he achieved "Master" status on the GuruShots platform.
    Personal Life
Unexplained Illness: In October 2025, Krug reported that he had been suffering from an undiagnosed illness since the fall of 2023. This causes tingling and numbness in his feet, which worsened over time. The symptoms significantly impair his mobility.
Partnership: Since 2016, he has lived with the artist Lucia Nadia Cipriani in Hallein.
    Worldview
In comments on the Yoga Vidya platform, Krug expressed views on various topics, including:
On values: A person's true worth lies not in their possessions, but in what they leave behind for others.
On freedom: Freedom is the highest good for him. He sees mandatory vaccination as a violation of freedom.
On violence: He opposes violence, war, and economic warfare, as these do not contribute to peace."

  • Self-protection and indirect help for young people and those severely traumatized, using my example:

"It underscores that Peter Siegfried Krug's decision to share his experiences through indirect means (writing, creative hobbies) and not to actively engage in direct work with traumatized people is a conscious protective measure.
This reinforces the difference in the sphere of influence between Krug and, for example, someone who performs professional social work:
Personal boundaries: Krug uses his story to show that survival and resilience are possible. But to protect himself, he must draw a clear line. Proximity to the traumatic experiences of others would reopen his own wounds and jeopardize his hard-won inner stability.
Indirect role model function: His role model function is therefore an indirect one. He shows through his example what is possible without actively taking on the role of helper himself. This type of impact is more sustainable and safer for him personally.
Focus on self-healing: All of his activities, from yoga to From chess composition to writing, these primarily serve one's own processing. The resulting positive effect on others is a welcome side effect, but not the primary goal, which would entail the risk of overexertion.
