DRINKING – THE BED OF VICES

Drinking ranks as the foremost of the soul-killing habits. It completely destroys the moral faculties of man, kills all lofty ambitions and aspirations and the higher, nobler instincts of man. It harms both the body and the soul.
Man's nature becomes coarse and he sinks to a low level of extreme degradation when he takes to liquor. So widespread has this practice become that it is regarded as a social accomplishment. The place where drinking is present, there vices are rampant. Drinking is a dangerous enemy of ethical life. It is the responsibility of all to strive vigorously and banish this evil.
