The central basis of ail desires is this false illusory "I.” With the contemplation of the infinite Self, the train of ideas of the universe disappears as darkness disappears before the suit.
If desires increase, thoughts of this universe also increase, if the fuel of desire is withdrawn, the fire of worldly thoughts is also extinguished.

In this way no development will take place and the main purpose of life will be then marked? Why then the human are provided the sense? What is the main purpose of life? Many questions will then arise which if not answered then will lead to the wrong direction and will again remain as without having a right answer.
Withdrawn of desire has no much importance but living with it and still having no affection on them has much more importance. Therefore one should always try for attaining the best whether it is of a gross material life or of spiritual life than looking for withdrawing of desires.
Example: A devotee who is sugar patient and if he leaves to eat potatoes to claims that he has given up the desire of eating potatoes in order to attain the absolute (God) then it is not justifying himself. One should always try to live alike The Lord Shiv who is father of all who has got every things yet has no affection on them.
So, withdrawing of desires also somewhere has a desire to attain divine knowledge/power etc. and if keeps no desires then whole life will be in very trouble ultimately. Thus truth of life is the main subject to know to live accordingly and correctly.
