STEPPING-STONES TO MOKSHA

Apart from a knowledge of the sacred scriptures and erudition, one should develop a tender heart. Austerity devoid of compassion, charity devoid of faith, spiritual Sadhana devoid of purity, a heart devoid of fellow-feeling, a life without prayer – all these are as fruitless as thc waters of a sandy desert.
Love, compassion, purity, truth and non-injury are the stepping-stones to success on the path to God. Satsang, contentment, dispassion and patience are the different steps that lead to the portals of the kingdom of God.
