When all the thoughts in the mind subside, when the mind is neither awake nor asleep, when it is motionless like the calm surface of a lake, then the highest Brahmic state of Samadhi is attained.
The Jivanmukta attains destruction of the mind, which leaves behind a slight trace of the ego, but to the Videhamukta there is complete destruction of the ego, sleep and all sins.
