Yoga, very popular term these days and not only a term, not only a concept, but it is also a culture, it is fashion, it is invoked, it is the mainstream of the people today all over the world.
Is this the real yoga or the authentic yoga which we are following, which we are talking about, which we are performing, which we are practicing or something is missing or in the name of yoga so many other things have come into.
The yoga as such meant for what?
it is meant for a blissful state of a being. it is meant for the peaceful state of the mind.and of course for a very healthy body because for me the body is not separate and different to the mind. I consider the body and mind as one unit.
Body vibrating at a grosser level and mind vibrating at a subtle level.so it is the unification of the body and mind. Yoga is the unification of the body, mind, and soul as you say body mind and spirit, so this unification, this totality this organization is known as yoga.
And what happens when there happens this totality, when there happens unification, when happens this complete organization, coordination of the body, mind, and soul. there arises true creativity, bliss, peace, you may call it Satchidananda. the highest state of the being. the original state of the being, and yoga for me is the instrument, is the method, is the tool, to come into the state of Satchidananda. so that is yoga. for this yoga must be practiced.
Is Yoga only physical posture?
What we see today all around the world in the name of yoga, physical postures, everybody seems to be doing something kind of physical feast. and yoga has been limited to the physical postures, the physical limitation has been bound.
No, that should not be the case, this should not be the soul, it is not good for the flourishing for the original style of the yoga.
Purpose of Yoga
Raja Yoga, king of yoga and there are so many other branches as we say, but yoga is yoga. every branch of yoga must cultivate the potential of the human being, and must pav the way to reach that very higher state which we call existence, consciousness, and bliss that is Satchidananda.
every branch of the yoga must pav the way to raise one consciousness to awaken once kundalini as we know the psychic, psycho-spiritual power, so the purpose of the yoga is very much clarified, it should be known by everyone.
Why you are practicing yoga?
Only for physical fitness, only for extra flexibility, only for reducing some pounds from your body. no, that is not yoga. so please pay attention to the highest purpose of yoga that is the state of Satchidananda. raising consciousness must be fulfilled, and then it becomes yoga.
