... am a Yoga Teacher, ... am a Yoga Therapist, ... have/direct a Yoga Center/studio

I am an expert in the following areas:

The vedas, vedic culture and history, tantra, yoga nidra, Bhagavad-Gita, Yoga Sutras, yoga practices: Asana, Vinyasa, Pranayama, Meditation, Mantras, Yantras.

My Yoga tradition/style/center, Yoga practice, Yoga Master/s, Teacher/s

My yoga practice come from Yoga Purna or Yoga Integral, that was thought to me by Yaquinao Guash and Eric Manquez when I was living in Chile. Yoga Purna comes from the influences of Sri Aurobindo and Swami Asuri Kapila. However my knowledge and teachings of the Vedas come straight from the Brahma Vaishnava Sampradaya tradition, that was passed to me by Jeffrey Armstrong/Kavindra Rishi.

More about me:

Umberto Assandri is a Brhama Vishnava Sampradaya Vedic and Yoga Purna teacher. Umberto has lived and trained in Italy, England, Argentina, Chile and Canada. In Santiago of Chile, in partnership with Monica Harboe and Claudia Enriotti, Umberto owned, managed and taught, at the Shakti Yoga Studio. He also founded and directed “Namasté” a magazine, dedicated to yoga, personal growth and conscious living. In Vancouver, Canada, Umberto, facilitated Yoga Nidra and Salutations workshops. He thought at the Blue Lotus Center that managed with Yoga Nada teacher David A. Solest and he studied the Vedic and Tantric knowledge with world-renowned Vedic scholar and teacher Jeffrey Armstrong/Kavindra Rishi. Umberto currently lives in Italy where he continues to writes, to teach and to facilitate yoga retreats.

My Favorite Quote/What inspires me:

Therefor the dubts which have arisen in your heart out of ignorance should be slashed by the weapon of knowledge. Armed with yoga, O Bharata, stand and fight. Bhagavad -Gita 4.42

  • Benvenuto Umberto, Om Shanti, Fabio.
  • It is a pleasure to meet you, Umberto. You have an interesting profile on Haus Yoga Vidya's social network, and I was able to understand most of what was written on your beautiful website as I spent 6 months in Florence, Italy, nearly 30 years ago. Of the teachers that you list above, where did your knowledge of yoga nidrâ come from?

If it interests you to see more video of André Riehl discussing various aspects of Nidrâ Yoga in the Shaivaite tradition, please visit: https://www.youtube.com/user/freddybyoga.

    Please keep in touch.
